- Dr. Margie Kahn, Tulane Head of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, is now offering world class urogynecologic care at our Tulane Doctors – Urology – Garden District location.
- One in three women will experience a pelvic floor disorder in her lifetime. This includes conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence or leakage and other reproductive and urinary health issues.
- Tulane offers a variety of treatment options ranging from lifestyle changes and physical therapy to pessary management and urodynamic testing, as well as laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
- Dr. Margie Kahn became Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Associate Clinical Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology in November of 2009. A graduate of Benjamin Frankin High School, she received her BS and MD from Tulane University, completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Downtown Hospital in 1990, and her fellowship in Urogynecology at St. George’s Hospital in London, UK in 1997. After achieving tenure at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, she worked two years at Southern California Permanente Medical Group before coming home to New Orleans. Dr. Kahn has authored numerous publications, presented at international meetings and is a member of the Editorial Board of Techniques in Coloprotology. She is happy to now have privileges at Touro Infirmary where her father, Hugo, was on the board for many years.
